Iheartyou.

I think I might have just died and went to heaven. These are UNBELIEVABLY gorgeous! Am I right? My gosh, the beauty, the art, the intricate detail, the quality of the lace, the perfect placement of the beads. As with all of the things I buy I like to believe that I am wearing a piece of art. With these I don't even have to believe it is written all over them! Wow... Anyone wanna buy me a present? The birthday is coming up ::wink wink::

And I had to show 2 pictures because thats how amazing they are. BAM!

MelissaGalore.

Sparkles, pom poms, glitter oh my! Melissa has done it again! We just got in the most adorable Melissa's I have seen yet. Everything to fulfill that inner princess - girlie girl!

Melissa Silks + Neon - Come in Red and Black $112
Don't they look exactly like barbie shoes? I had to send a picture to my friend LJ (my digital stylist) because I know how much she loves red shoes and well anything Disney and Barbie. She then said they are so Skipper style and once I read that I had a rush of childhood run through my body. At that moment I realized LJ and I are meant to be friends forever ;)

Melissa + Vivienne Westwood - $130. Love these and the insole too. It gives them an extra pop! The bows are splattered with gold specs to give them more of a girlie girl feel.
Melissa + Vivienne Westwood - $150. The rain boots of the century! I kinda died a little when I saw these. AH-Maze-ING! Sparkles all throughout the boot and 3 gold sparkle buttons down the side.
Melissa + Vivienne Westwood Dragon Lady - $189. We had these before but never in this color. The purple has a tint of gold to it. The heart is the perfect color peach (my favorite color!). The heel is just the right size for comfort and still look sexy.

Melissa Marine - $79. Cutest shoe ever! It's like there is a lil' fufu bunny cotton tail on your foot! I love it! Comes in Navy and Black. I personally love the navy. I mean come on how could you not? Easy to dress up an pair of cut off denim shorts and a loose tee!

Now.. I thought Melissa's have done it all but seems I was proven wrong. O-M-G ADORBS!! How can you not fall in love with these? Look at how tiny they are! I know you are staring at your screen saying "Aaaaww" right now.. am I right? Of course these are a Melissa +Vivienne Westwood collab. They have a velcro sling back and a breathable gap for those tiny feetsies to get some air. Loves it!

Shades&Suits.

In order to start off the beach season just right, you have to find the perfect bathing suit and of course the perfect shades. Since we love our customers so much we decided to give you plenty of options depending on your likes and dislikes. Also, we wanted to factor in that not everyone has the same body shape, face shape, which will inevitably lead up to.. no one has the exact same style. I think we might just have pulled out the most awesome variety there is..

Waiting for the Sun - all made out of teawood. Made in France. They come in 3 different styles (as shown above) and each come in wood or black wood.

The one piece suit - There is no way to get around these beauties anymore. To get more use out of these suits you can pair them with a skirt or jeans and it's just like wearing a body suit. Check! and Mate! I personally love the way these 3 play off of the wood frames. Such a retro look and I'm lovin' it!

Eco Optics - We just started carrying these sunglasses and I think I have fallen in love. I bought the aviator ones in black and they are super awes. The lenses are fantastic; I feel like I see even clearer with them on. We currently have these 3 styles in stock in these colors. These sunglasses are all made out of recycled metals and plastic. The box they come in is made out of recycled paper and they also are involved in a non- profit organization called "one frame one tree". Which means with each pair sold they plant a tree.

Ahh the beloved Bikini - We work all spring just to make sure we look just right in you. We have a few different styles here. String bottoms, brief bottom, triangle top and bandeau top. The prints are outstanding. The Kelly B suit comes in the blue tie-dye (as shown) and we also have the purple tie-dye (made of 100% organic cotton). The Bantu suits are one of my favorites based on their prints and story. The company is African based and currently all products are manufactured in Ethiopia to help their economy grow.

Enjoy these Hot Summer Days that are upon us!

P.O.T.D.

For my pick of the day I went with a LBD and spiced it up with splashes of color. I first chose the dress, went straight to the belt, and then went on from there. I choose to go for a vibrant earring to play off the color of the belt. For the shoes I went for a more subtle color because I didn't want to take to much attention away from the belt and earrings. The bag is a few shades darker then the shoes which is good because we never want to go to matchy matchy. I am obsessed with this necklace and I think I will be obsessed with it for the rest of my life. Something about lockets, I don't know what it is.. but there is something that makes me fall in love.

Each piece is available at Kaight online and instore!

MociunPleet.

Yesterday we were informed that the July issue of Elle is out. As most of you know, I have been awaiting the arrival of this issue because I was lucky enough to partake in a photoshoot for an Aveeno advertisement which focused on the ladies of Kaight. Once we found out it is actually available for purchase Kate went on the hunt. unfortunately she wasn't able to find the magazine anywhere in a 5mile radius. Instead she came back to the store with the latest Boho issue. As I was reading and picking up on some great "green" tips, designers, and get aways, I came across a 7 page spread of 2 of our fabulous designers. The spread featured Caitlin Mociun and Samantha Pleet. I fell in love with the both of them when I first saw their designs in the Fall and the Summer designs are just as beautiful. I then went to their websites and researched their spring summer collections for a second time and was taken back. The graphics/prints might be my absolute favorite part of it all.

SummerSwap.

Summer is here and I am loving every minute of it. Most of all I am loving all the fabulous dresses, shorts, rompers, sandals, etc. etc. Recently I have been going out a bit more after work to enjoy the weather and friends in the great NYC. To make my day look into a night look I follow these simple rules. Bring an extra set of great wedges or heels to work and switch up the jewelery. Luckily for me since I work in a fabulous boutique I can get away with rockin some interesting pieces through out the day. So with that being said for me it's all in the shoes! Some easy outfits to change from day to night just by the swap of a shoe are...

Edun's "Ziggy" Romper $207 on sale from $345

Fin Oslo's "Valerie" Shorts $198
paired with a great tee.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

DigitalPROUD!

There is no possible way to describe the feelings that went through my body the first time I listened to my hubby's first EP. All biased opinions aside it is incredible! He first got the test press about a month or 2 ago. Then a little while later the EP arrived. It was one fri afternoon and I had decided to surprise him with a visit (since I rarely truck it out to Fat Beats anymore). Of course he was ecstatic to see me but he might have been more ecstatic that the EP actually came in. He is very humble and never likes me to play his music when he is around.. although I never listen and play it anyway.. This time was different. As soon as I asked to see the EP the smile that took over his face was undeniably the most precious gift ever. I then held the record in my hand for the first time and I swear it was feeling that you get only a few times in your life. I am assuming it is close to when you get to hold your baby for the first time. (I know this bc this is how I felt when I first held Suri). I then asked if I could listen to it. It took Jim a minute to actually allow this but once he caved in it was as if I was in a whole new world. He walked over the turn tables, gently placed the record down and needle is now on record. zzerpp erra eraaa (those are my dj scratchin' noises) From the first note on I can hardly describe the feeling in one word but I will say this. Tears flooded my eyes with happiness, as the bass kicked in I felt it in my veins, the soulful voices soothed my mind and the adrenaline went straight to my heart. It was incredible all these feelings at once, there is no one word to describe it but simply AMAZING. I can only say how proud I am of my hubby for being who he is, believing in himself and following his dream. He is someone I will look up to for the rest of my life.
I Love You JV!!

J57 "Digital Society" Instrumental EP [Vinyl]
Balanced Records (Groove & Fat Beats Distribution)

"Long Island/Brooklyn native, J57 illustrates warm synth melodies washing through tight beats and subtle textures on Digital Society, an anthemic electronic hip-hop soundtrack. Infusing his production with hip-hop, soul, glitch, and countless other influences, J57 has a masterful ear and an unerring drive to his beats. Using precision and clarity for this freshman solo album, J57 draws contributions from Digga Jefferson Price on keys and vocals, Jordan Usatch on guitar and lyrical shading by Soul Khan of Brown Bag AllStars fame. Additionally, Deejay Element and Juno Award winner DJ Brace stamp their respective marks with nimble fingers."
