You know how sometimes you get lost in a musical trance? Were you have that one particular song stuck in your head from days to weeks? When you catch yourself humming the same tune throughout all your daily activities? When a certain video mesmerizes you to the point where every other video looks elementary? Ya, you've felt that too? Well, it happened to me a few days ago with "Synestasia" by DJ Brace. It tells a true tale... Music is Art. I mean, between the graphics and the fluidity of his movements, it can only tell that story. That to be a DJ one must have soul, depth, and character, to which, DJ Brace has them all. I am lucky enough to know Brace and know that he is  just as amazing as his music. Thank you Brace for showing us where art and music combine!! See ya soon...actually any day now!

Coachella finally posted their line up for this year... and trust... it was worth the wait. I NEED to go, don't know how it will be possible, but it MUST happen. Are you with me people!?

Besides the obv good tunes, the fashion will be out of control (as always). Can't wait to see what everyone has up their sleeves. And, who will/won't turn it out this year. This video is very dear to my heart for these few reason.
1. It was shot in my apartment. (and no those are not my cheesy decorations, maroon and gold is they way it goes down in this household!.... But, yes, the cookie monster stocking is Suri's. She picked it out.)
2. I love anything having to do with Christmas.
3. I was the one who put pillows in J57's belly, bc my boy needed that real snowman effect.
4. The day before the filming we laughed and laughed... And laughed some more on how hysterical the concept of the video was and the fact that the we were going to see the Audible Doctor in an elf costume.
5. Santa is Jewish.
** Most importantly, the track is on fire! **

July, I heart you.

Wow, It's the middle of July already? June flew right past us as well as May. July is my absolute favorite month of the whole entire year. It holds a specail and dear place in my heart. There are plenty of reasons that contribute to this and here are my top 10;

One - I was born on July 10th.
Two - Suri's birthday is July 9th. (Birthday weekend!)
Three - 4th of July. Every year my family and I would go to my aunts house, have a bbq, drink plenty of margarita's, go in the pool and when nighttime rolls around we would watch the fireworks on the beach, and then sit around the barnfire singing. Good Times.
Four - My parents wedding anniversary is on the 7th. <3


Five - Jimmy proposed to me on my brithday :) It was 3rd anniversary of being engaged :)
Six - I can go swimming and layout on my hammock at my resort back in L.I. (aka jimmys parents house).
Seven - The rooftop parties at Adri & Kieths with Adri's AMAZING cooking!
Eight - The food, snacks and drinks.
Nine - Coney Island, beach party's with friends.
Ten - It's Summer time and the living is easy.

Soulkhan feat. Akie -"Speeding Bullets" Official Video was just recently released. This is hilarious. What a great concept, admirable song, and amazing talent. I am pretty much in love with the both of them.

Beyonce = Buck

I have been obsessed with this song at the moment. Beyonce is unbelieveable in this performance, a true artist. Def deserves the tribute to the fullest. Jimmy thought the 1st half of the performance was lame, I thought it was amazing. The timing skill and strength a dancer has to have in order to make it look amazing, still be entertaining, sing and look gorgeous.. I mean come onnn'! Beyonce is nothing shy of BUCK!

Brown Bag Update..

Brown Bag Season is back in full effect and, the Brown Bag Allstars are here and they are here to stay. The boys have been in the studio non-stop for almost a year now (well actually ever since I met everyone), working on 20,000 different projects all at once. The live and breath music. Their dedication and love for her(music) is like a drug, they can't get enough and they are hooked and need her every second of everyday. Luckily they are all so incredibly talented that their obsession and addiction is actually paying off. I have seen it all from the VERY 1st day it all began, to now. The progress that they have made is remarkable. I can honestly say that I have never skipped a song of theirs when it pops up on my shuffle nor have I ever forwarded it in the middle. I have always been a number 1 fan but is it possible that my love has grown stronger? The vocal control and confidence each of of them have can be heard through their music. The beats have been amplified to make each and every song a head nodder. I am not a music expert by any means but I will say I find it very hard to believe if someone says that they are not the next big thing. Just sayin'.

Casey was Saved!

I am a huge American Idol fan. I have been watching for many seasons now and I love the art of watching an artist and their journey to stardom. To me it is so interesting to see this process, you get to know the individuals true personality and sometimes the drama of how fame can do a 360 to certain people. This season has been off the chain. I didn't think they would find the talent that they have found. I kinda thought it was gonna be very gimmicky with Steven Tyler, JLO and Randy(who drops the name game every time he gives some feedback). I was completely taken back by their choices. There were a few question marks in the top 24 but for the most part, all the contestants had an individual sound and star like quality to them. One of my favorites from the beginning (audition episodes) was Casey Abrams. His rugged voice and bee bop soul is what sold me on him. This kid is a true artist. His is unbelievably talented and his choice of instruments is what really intrigued me.
I'm not really a "voter". I did in the beginning seasons but every time I did vote, the person I voted for went home.. I sort of felt as if I was bad luck. I gave up on it and kinda left it to America. I thought Casey was a shoe in for this round. Hell I thought he was good till top 3. And again to my surprise he was the one who was sent packing tonight. Until... he was cut off in the middle of his goodbye performance and was SAVED! The look on his face is what killed me. He was so sincere, so taken back, so grateful, (looked like he saw a ghost) and he couldn't believe what was happening. Then he ran off stage to hug his parents and that is when I lost it. I am such a cry baby its ridiculous but, if you can't see the gratitude in this, you are an ice queen. Sorry, its true. All in all, I am SO happy for Casey and I hope he will live up to the trust and faith that the judges have in him bc I believe it too and I am sure there are plenty of others that feel likewise. Have a look for yourself...
