Dunks Be with You.

Last weekend, Jimmy and I went for a stroll down Atlantic Avenue. I have been working at Kaight's Brooklyn location on Thursdays for a little while now and as I walk to and from the subway, I noticed there are so many cute shops to check out. Finally, on my day off I got to be one of the strollers that I see on the outside of those big glass doors. We had a great time, laughing, holding hands, breathing in the fresh air, seeing the buds of flowers bloom, window shopped and even went into a few stores. There were 2 places that had influenced our entire weekend. One being a hoarders paradise furniture/hardware/gadget/can't move an inch store, and second being an awesome consignment boutique. The hoarders paradise gave us incentive to clean out the studio and bedroom. The awesome consignment shop is where I got THESSSEEE.......
Aren't they gorgeous?! These pretty puppies are the Liberty Dunks X Opening Ceremony circa 08', a very limited pack released for women.

Here's a lil 411 on the beauts: "Nike designers have applied quintessential British style to the purest of Nike. Fabrics from Liberty of London, draped on the Dunk, create a true clash of femininity and clean athletic lines.Liberty is department store set in a famous Tudor building in the heart of London’s West End. The Nike Design team selected two classic Liberty prints: Wilshire and Pepper, to create two limited editions of the Nike Dunk. Liberty fabrics are characterized by tender palettes, all over floral prints, and detailed movement, which is the perfect juxtaposition with the clean design lines of the Nike Dunk. These sneakers feature a gumsole and a heavyweight Liberty fabric for the upper which was chosen for its durability."

Just the other day I emailed my girl LJ (she is a HUGE kicks fan) to show her the new Nike x Liberty Summer 11 collection (pics below) as it came across my twitter feed. The more and more I stare at them I still can't seem to figure out which one I love more.. Ugh A fashionista's dilemma!

Which is your fav?

One Dress. Tons of Options.

One Dress. Styled for all different occasions. Kelly B's Acacia Stripe Wrap Dress. First you can leave as is, crisp and clean, an easy lightweight dress to throw on those hot summer days.

Unfortunately, it doesn't feel as if those hot summer days are anywhere near us. For now, pair the Acacia dress with The Podolls Dolman Sweater, Eairth Scarf, Brave belt, and LuLu Frost Scotch Tag necklace. If you are going for a night out and need something a little more light weight on top try this stunning Elizabeth Gillett shrug and a DLC ballchain necklace. I love the contrast of pattern and stripes, stunning!

When those Spring/Summer days do appear go with a brave belt, LuLu Frost Scotch Tag necklace, Vintage hat (from our "Vintage Shop w/in a shop") and adorable Melissa sandals. If it gets a little chilly don't worry just throw on a Prairie Underground Long Cloak Hoodie. Pair this look with some Sirius Lux necklaces, Brave belt and Me & Arrow's messenger bag for the Mom on the go! Mom's must be hands free at all times, that is why this bag is a must! What would you pair your Kelly B Acacia Stripe Wrap Dress with?

Casey was Saved!

I am a huge American Idol fan. I have been watching for many seasons now and I love the art of watching an artist and their journey to stardom. To me it is so interesting to see this process, you get to know the individuals true personality and sometimes the drama of how fame can do a 360 to certain people. This season has been off the chain. I didn't think they would find the talent that they have found. I kinda thought it was gonna be very gimmicky with Steven Tyler, JLO and Randy(who drops the name game every time he gives some feedback). I was completely taken back by their choices. There were a few question marks in the top 24 but for the most part, all the contestants had an individual sound and star like quality to them. One of my favorites from the beginning (audition episodes) was Casey Abrams. His rugged voice and bee bop soul is what sold me on him. This kid is a true artist. His is unbelievably talented and his choice of instruments is what really intrigued me.
I'm not really a "voter". I did in the beginning seasons but every time I did vote, the person I voted for went home.. I sort of felt as if I was bad luck. I gave up on it and kinda left it to America. I thought Casey was a shoe in for this round. Hell I thought he was good till top 3. And again to my surprise he was the one who was sent packing tonight. Until... he was cut off in the middle of his goodbye performance and was SAVED! The look on his face is what killed me. He was so sincere, so taken back, so grateful, (looked like he saw a ghost) and he couldn't believe what was happening. Then he ran off stage to hug his parents and that is when I lost it. I am such a cry baby its ridiculous but, if you can't see the gratitude in this, you are an ice queen. Sorry, its true. All in all, I am SO happy for Casey and I hope he will live up to the trust and faith that the judges have in him bc I believe it too and I am sure there are plenty of others that feel likewise. Have a look for yourself...

What are your thoughts? Should Casey have gone home? Who was your pick to go?

Proud.

I am ashamed that I have not posted this as soon as it came out. I honestly thought I had. Anyway, I truly love this video. It encapsulates all things that are dear to my heart. New York City, J57(my love, my life, my everything), music, fashion, The Brown Bag Allstars, hip hop and urban creativity. I can feel this beat runs through my veins everytime I hear it. It takes me back to when I first heard Jimmy making the beat from scratch in his studio (aka horders paradise, our 2x2 computer filled with records and everything music related). Suri was of course laying on her circle bed as she does everytime he is working on a beat. That is her way of showing her support and here is mine. I love you Jimmy and I LOVE this video. Thank you for showing me what hardwork, dedication and that dreams actually do come true.. I aspire to be like you. PROUD!

So to all; Please enjoy my incredibly talented fiance's 1st solo video off of his insturmental album "Digital Society". With featured vocals from the ever so talented Mr. Jefferson Price himself, aka Digga. ENJOY :)

The bitch is back.

Britney Spears has a message for her fans: "The bitch is back and better than ever!"

Hot off the press! New Brit Brit track leaked online today. The track titled "Till the World Ends" was supposed to be realeased a week from today. Earlier today she tweeted "Looks like the cats our of the bag...". Oh brit you are too cute. With all the buzz about her new spread in "W" mag, it was, in my eyes good timing. From what I have been reading she has gotten nothing but good reviews; such as "It's Britney bitch, and the bitch cleans up well". She looks amazing, the designer duds looks amazing on her, the coloring and lighting look amazing. Supposibly this track was written by Ke$ha. I inevitably wanted to hate it when I read that but after listening to the full track I kinda love it.. ruh roh...?... am I starting to like Ke$ha? Then I thought about it and slapped myself in the face to wake up. No I do not like Ke$ha and her stupid "trashbag chic" look, I love Brit and pretty much everything she does. Even when she went all cray cray. (I mean come on, that was wildly entertaining and you know it!)

Here is the Track List for "Femme Fatale" which according to Spears is going to be her "best album to date". Spears also stated that, "I think 'Femme Fatale' speaks for itself... I wanted to make a fierce dance record where each song makes you want to get up and move..."

Oh Brit I love the wat you think! Album supposed to be released on March 29th.. EeeePPp!

"Femme Fatale" Track Listing:
1. Till The World Ends (Produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard)
2. Hold It Against Me (Produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Co-produced by Billboard)
3. Inside Out (Produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard)
4. I Wanna Go (Produced by Max Martin and Shellback)
5. How I Roll (Produced by Bloodshy, Henrik Jonback and Magnus)
6. (Drop Dead) Beautiful featuring Sabi (Produced by Benny Blanco, Ammo, JMIKE and Billboard)
7. Seal It With A Kiss (Produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Dream Machine)
8. Big Fat Bass featuring will.i.am (Produced by will.i.am)
9. Trouble For Me (Produced by Fraser T Smith)
10. Trip To Your Heart (Produced by Bloodshy, Henrik Jonback and Magnus)
11. Gasoline (Produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco)
12. Criminal (Produced by Max Martin and Shellback)

The Deluxe version of "Femme Fatale" will include four additional tracks:

13. Up N' Down (Produced by Max Martin, Shellback and Oligee)
14. He About To Lose Me (Produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins)
15. Selfish (Produced by Stargate, and Sandy Vee)
16. Don't Keep Me Waiting (Produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins)

"Hold it Against Me" and "Till the World Ends" are BOTH available on iTunes.

To Brit:

"Dont call it a comeback.. Ive been here for years.. Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear"

Love,

LL

Peace & Brit,

Olive, How I Love Thee.

Over the weekend I felt the need for a little retail therapy. Been going through some stuff and nothing cures my soul more than shoes and Suri. So, as I was browsing around with my thoughts running wild it was hard to concentrate on what was really going on because I was so in my head. Then, it was like I was in a movie.. all of a sudden a beaming ray of light came forcing down on this one display of sandals. They were one of the most beautiful foot protecting items I have ever seen. The color was unique and flawless. Green with a tint of grey and yellow just like an olive in a martini. The shapes of the cutouts across the front of the sandal, exquisite. The cork of the wedge so light and pure. And most importantly the shape and design of the wedge. Platform with a smooth curve of playfulness. With the sandal being almost 5 inches one would call me crazy but, kid you not, most comfortable sandal I have ever put on my foot. Now if only it was warm enough to wear. Ahh... soon I hope. One can only have high hopes and wish for the best. Till then Suri and I will stare at these beauties as they are on display in the living room. A stunning work of art! I shall forever call them "Olive" for their color (obv., come on people) and for Popeye's wife (for Olive's height and beautiful soul). Olive... my dear Olive, how I love thee.

She is such a ham ;)

Oh, AND.. they are total 70's vibe. I mean come on, they are totally meant to live on my feet this summer!

AND, I was given 2 coupons so it was pretty much like I got them for free. Well, um not free but I think they were like $27. To me, thats almost considered free for these gorgeous beings.

Peace & Suri,
