SamanthaSS11.

Sorry I have been a little M.I.A. this week. As you know Fashion Week was in full affect and I of course had to be part of it. I was fortunately lucky enough to attend the GreenShows to view Samantha Pleets collection. Unfortunately all the other shows were at times that I was holding down fort at the store. Wompp Wahhh.. Although, tonight is the start off of Williamsburg Fashion Weekend. So I will be able to view Marcus Hicks' collection "SDN" which is always amazing.

Since I DID see Samantha's I can report back on what I learned and took in. She is an unbelievable artist. Her creations always have that whimsical edge, this collection I personally felt was a little more hipster/downtown girl. And I'm not complaining. She paired different fabrics with different prints with different texture. It was all different and that is what it is all about. When you go to these show you want to see something new yet cohesive. I do believe that this was accomplished. She had 18 looks including suits, tunics, polka dot suits, rompers and bustiers'. Everything was styled beautifully. I wish I could do my hair like that and I want all the jewelry that the models were wearing. And if you look closely you will be able to view a mini Danielle Staub (vomit).. ENJOY!!!

I am head over heels in love with these sunny's and this look! Nailed it! POW!

During the shows she also had silent film playing and this is what read underneath it on the program:

"It's the last summer for two lovers. Their affair can go on no longer so they capture the day to remember. She stares into the camera with heartbreak knowing that they can never see each other again. Time has passed and the rolls have been hidden away and forgotten long ago. Once recovered he sits and stares into her eyes take after take her intensity and sadness. Remembering long after the fact how things used to be and what this love is."
