With fall arriving at the moment, I decided it would be perfect timing for me to post what I have been lusting over for the past couple of months or so. To me trends are a big part of my purchase, but of course, not without the debate will I want to wear this next fall, will I still be stylish, is the quality enough last me the next 5 years? Just recently I purchased the most heavenly of all sweaters. It's called the envelope sweater by STUDY. Tara St. James is one of the most creative designers in my mind. The way shes manipulates the fabric into a beautifully draped garment and most of her pieces have more than one way to wear it (which is always a plus!). With that being said you are getting 4 different garments with one piece of fabric. Now tell me that isn't cool? Ok, back on track, the envelope sweater.... We had it last year and it sold out, we reordered and it sold out again. To me dismay we sold out to quick for me to snatch one for myself. This year I wasn't going to let that happen again! I bought the sweater maybe a week ago and wore it 3 times already.. For me that's a record! It is my favorite statement piece at the moment and I have gotten tons of compliments on it (which is also a plus). I actually am wearing it right now! It is versatile in the sense that is can be combined with almost anything. The first day I paired it with my Saturday errand clothes.. a t-shirt, jeans, and my red Toms. Second day I paired it with leggings, Alice + Olivia tunic (that Kate gave from a clothing swap :) and my Melissa black sparkle rain boots. Today I paired it with Serfontaine skinny jeans, flannel top, and black studded clogs. Next I am thinking a beautiful vintage dress, tights and my Swedish Hasbeens lace up booties. So many ideas and one perfect sweater. I am in fashion heaven!
Everything in the picture is available at Kaight.
